Statistical Abstract of the United States

Have you ever used the Statistical Abstract of the United States? Published since 1878 it is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political and economic organization of the United States.

The U.S. budget for 2012 does not contain funding for the Statistical Compendia Branch (Census). The result of the lack of funding is the elimination not only of the Statistical Abstract but of all titles produced by this Branch.

If you think the Statistical Abstract should be saved, please contact your U.S. representative and Senators.
